POSITION SUMMARY USA Lacrosse is looking for a summer Intern for our Digital Media team; this will be an
unpaid/for credit internship. If you are currently pursuing your bachelor's degree and would like to jumpstart your career by gaining hands-on experience to learn about your desired career field, this could be an excellent opportunity for you. In this role, you will work closely with the SR Producer, Digital Media and the marketing and communications team to produce digital media content to support USA Lacrosse's marketing and social media initiatives.

This internship will allow you to learn in a face-paced environment, collaborate with multiple departments, and learn essential digital media marketing practices for your professional growth and future career.
Please note, we do not have the ability to house our interns so you will need to have local housing and transportation to work from our headquarters office in Sparks, MD.
A Typical Day Looks Like... Essential Functions - Assist with shooting video and photo content at USA Lacrosse events.
- Edit and enhance photos and videos using software such as Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, or Premiere Pro to achieve professional-quality results.
- Maintain an organized library of digital media assets, including properly labeling and storing files for easy retrieval and future use on USA Lacrosse's data asset management system.
- Collaborate with the digital media team to ensure consistency in visual style and branding across all content.
- Assist with other digital media tasks as needed, such as social media content creation and multimedia production.
- Serve as production assistant for Sr. Producer and Producer of Digital Media content shoots as directed.

What Will Be Expected of You - Report to work each day you are scheduled on time, presenting yourself in a professional manner though your appearance and interactions with others.

- What did you learn about USA Lacrosse.
- What did you learn about your field of study and the responsibilities of the department you worked in.
- Explain your roles and responsibilities and talk about any project(s) you did.
- Reflect on skills and work habits you learned that you will take with you as you start your career.
- Reflect on skills and work habits you learned that you will not be taking with you as you start your career.
Is This You... - Current college student working toward a bachelor's degree preferably in digital media, communications, marketing, or related field.
- Must have a demonstrated understanding of digital media software and editing platforms.
- Working knowledge of Sony DSLR family.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Suite (Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, Audition, Media Encoder).
- Demonstrated passion and enthusiasm for digital media and content creation.
- Intermediate computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft 365 products, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint.
- Enthusiastic go-getter with a "roll up your sleeves" and "get it done" attitude.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, follow up/through skills, and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, including interpersonal, verbal and written.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Must possess a strong "customer first" attitude.
- Ability to exercise the appropriate level of discretion and judgment with the capability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive and proprietary information and materials.
- Ability to present a professional persona and presence to build relationships and establish credibility.
- Ability to be flexible with your work schedule, including the ability to work some nights and weekends based on event schedules.
- Willingness to learn about the sport of lacrosse and appreciate the need to develop and fuel the growth of the sport with diversity, inclusion, and equity in mind.
- Ability to align with USA Lacrosse's Mission, Vision, and Values and Strategic Plan to support our initiatives and organizational goals.
Expected Hours of Work This position works from our headquarters office in Sparks, MD and is generally expected to work Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm. You may be required to occasionally work longer hours or weekends based on our events and other business needs. This position will between 30 and 40 hours per week.
