Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN - Medical Surgical

Shift: Nights / 7p-7:30a, 12x3, 36hrs/week, EOW

Length: 13 Weeks

Requirements: 

• NH license
• 2 years' medsurg experience
• Skills: Med/Surg, Feeding tube care and management, Peripheral Line Care/Management, starting IVs, Nasal Cannula, EPIC
• BLS
• CPI preferred
• MS/Tele experience preferred

REQUIRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP:

Minimum Years of Experience: 2 years (Must have two years medsurg experience)

Traveler Experience: No first time travelers

Locals Accepted

Skills: Med/Surg, Feeding tube care and management, Peripheral Line Care/Management, starting IVs, Nasal Cannula, EPIC

Certs: BCLS

PREFERRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP: CPI, MS/Tele

JOB DETAILS:

Target Ratios: 1:5-6

Shift: 12hr Nights 7p-7:30a. 36hrs accepted!

Call Requirement: None

Float Requirement: EOW, Floating Expectations •Helping Hands/ Team Nursing approach •Will assist in being Floated to ICU, ED, and other Medsurg Units •Patient Sitting You will not take a patient that does not match your clinical assignment or team

Weekend Requirement: EVERY OTHER WEEKEND REQUIRED.

RTO Requirements: Must work 2/3 major winter holidays. Unit cannot approve both 12/24 and 12/25 off if requested, only one day for Christmas permitted

SPECIAL EQUIPMENT: Bladder scanner

Stratus (interpreter)

Vein Viewer

Rectal probe monitor

Phillips vital signs

(Relaxation room for staff with massage chair, quiet and peaceful room)

UNIT SYSTEMS (Medication, Documentation, Communication): Omnicell, EPIC, bedside standardized shift report

UNIT ORIENTATION: 36 hours - 1st day: tour, computer modules and then floor when finished. Day 2&3 - on floor with a nurse

SCRUBS: Any

Pay rate is estimated based on weekly gross income.

Weekly gross pay based on qualifications and experience. Rate applies to travel positions only (50+ miles from permanent address).
