Job Description
The Tatnall School is in search of a part-time Student Transporter to join our operations team. The incumbent will provide transportation of Tatnall students to and from campus. Under general supervision, the student transporter will be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of our students and athletes. The incumbent will be trained on how to operate campus fleet vehicles including vans and buses.

Responsibilities

• Provides safe and reliable student transportation service by operating a school van or other
  vehicle with a fixed route.
• Reports to duty on time and maintains route on time and in a safe manner.
• Physically assists passengers in evacuation of the vehicle in case of emergency.
• Immediately reports any accident or incident.
• Follows school policy around student and/or athlete transportation.
• Keeps parents and appropriate personnel updated as needed.
• Presents a neat and professional personal appearance at all times.
• Completes all required paperwork including; route sheets, time cards and vehicle repair requests and submits in a timely manner.
• Maintains a positive attitude with students, parents, employees, supervisors, and other campus personnel.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and have reliable transportation.
• Must meet physical and medical requirements.
• Must practice defensive driving at all times and avoid accidents by practicing safe driving and habits.

Conditions of Hire

• A thorough background check is required as a condition of employment.
• Applicant must complete satisfactory reference checks, confirmation of compliance with federal and state employment laws, and any other required condition of employment.
• A physical and drug screen may be required.
