Position Overview:

As a representative of Mobile Air, you will be an essential team member responsible for coordinating the delivery, installation, and servicing of our rental equipment. Higher-level technicians will possess advanced skills in troubleshooting air-cooled chillers and large tonnage HVAC equipment, including setup and repair.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Process customer orders received from the sales department or branch manager, ensuring timely fulfillment and delivery.
• Deliver exceptional customer experiences that encourage repeat business.
• Install equipment as necessary.
• For heating equipment, run temporary hoses to connect with natural gas or propane sources.
• Install flexible ductwork as needed for temporary applications.
• Utilize appropriate PPE and fall protection as required at all times.
• Perform initial equipment startup and necessary service repairs.
• Retrieve equipment from customer locations upon completion of rentals, documenting the returned items.
• Conduct equipment reconditioning per established work instructions and complete required checklists.
• Safely store equipment in the branch warehouse.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Additional Duties for Higher-Level Technicians:

• Clean chillers and large air conditioning equipment.
• Retrieve required accessories from inventory for shipping with chiller or large AC orders.
• Aid in the loading of chillers and large air conditioning equipment.
• Start up and troubleshoot oil-fired heating equipment.
• Diagnose and repair air conditioning equipment, including refrigerant circuit management.
• Support the installation of air-cooled chillers and large package HVAC rental units.

Requirements:

• Experience levels range from 0-5 years.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• A 2-year HVAC certificate and/or Universal Refrigeration Certificate or equivalent experience is preferred for higher-level technicians.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products or similar software; familiarity with MRP or Rental software is a plus.
• Must pass a DOT physical and drug test to operate company vehicles.
• Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory motor vehicle report (MVR).
• Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs. of equipment using Mobile Air's safe lifting practices.
• Strong customer service aptitude, effective communication skills, and mechanical knowledge.
• Willingness to learn and develop.

Work Schedule:

This position may require working a rotating on-call schedule and being available for evenings, weekends, and holidays during peak seasons. Travel may also be necessary. Overtime and double-time pay rates apply for applicable hours worked.
