About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Business Analyst to join our team within the financial services sector. This role will support the Enterprise Engagement Platform (EEP) Program, focusing on delivering new and expanding existing functionality with the Producer and Customer Portal solutions developed and supported by our client. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business analysis, requirements gathering, validation testing, and extensive experience working within Agile environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Requirements Gathering: Collect and document as-is/to-be functional and non-functional requirements using tools like RAP-type package or Top Teams.
  • User Story/Sprints: Create user stories and participate in sprints, dedicating 20% of the time to these activities.
  • Validation Testing: Perform validation testing of system changes to ensure test results meet expectations.
  • Meeting Facilitation: Conduct and facilitate meetings to gather requirements and validate system changes.
  • Documentation: Create detailed documentation of requirements and testing results.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with security, legal, HR, compliance, and service teams to ensure alignment on risk and policy.
  • Agile Practices: Participate in Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and reviews. Collaborate with Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and development teams to ensure requirements are clearly understood and implemented.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Initiative and Problem-Solving Skills: Proactive approach to identifying and solving problems.
  • Technical Proficiency: Experience with portal development and tools like M365 Teams, SharePoint, Exchange, and app store products, including policy and controls knowledge for each product.
  • Agile Methodology: Proven experience working in Agile environments, familiarity with Agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban), and tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
  • Financial Services Experience: Understanding of financial services regulations, compliance requirements, and industry-specific challenges.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications: CBAP, ECBA, PBA, CCBA, BCS.
  • Agile Certifications: Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), PMI-Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), or similar.
  • Financial Services Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Certified Financial Services Auditor (CFSA) or Financial Risk Manager (FRM).

Experience

  • Successful Application/System Launches: Proven track record of building and launching successful applications or systems where gathered requirements were implemented as expected.
  • Agile Projects: Demonstrated experience in delivering projects within Agile frameworks, ensuring timely and quality delivery of business solutions.
  • Financial Services Projects: Experience working on projects within the financial services industry, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards.
