Job Description

Our Client, a privately held durable goods manufacturer, is seeking a Temporary Safety Training Specialist to fill in for 6 month leave of absence. The Safety Training Specialist should have experience working in an EHS/Training function in manufacturing, and should be adept at cross-cultural communication. Spanish is a strong plus as a significant proportion of the plant staff are Spanish speaking.

Duties:

• Run training programs for new hires and manage a comprehensive competency-based training program for personnel, ensuring alignment with industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Use Good communication skills, ability to follow through to staff and manager on best safety practices
• Ability to recognize hazards and responsible for managing, directing, coordinating, monitoring, and driving the implementation of environmental, health, and safety activities and policies of the Company in the plant, to improve EHS performance consistent with corporate goals and meet/exceed highest ethical standards
• Provide policy guidance and direction
• Must Ability to work under minimal supervision and detail oriented.
• Maintain basic understanding of compliance codes
• Other task as assigned

Requirements:

• Previous Training experience desired.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
