Job Description
Our mental health residential treatment program is seeking a well-experienced Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Psychiatric Physician Assistant to perform patient intial and follow up visits at our Sylmar residential psychiatric treatment program. Typical diagnoses of our clients are major depression, bipolar disorder, PTSD, trauma, and schizophrenia. ***Must have extensive psychiatric medication management expertise and be a certified NP / PA or family medicine NP / PA with psychiatric experience.***
1. May choose between schedule of either Sunday to Thursday OR Tuesday to Saturday. VERY FLEXIBLE SCHEDULE
2. Visits will be done 4 days per week via telehealth and one day in person at the facility
3. Additional responsibilities include: ensuring psych medications are effective and the clients' needs are being met; changes t o psychiatric medications as needed; assessing client's satisfaction with treatment; assessing the program treatment of clients; noting any adverse reactions to medications and recommend to the Medical Director and medical changes; You will be on call for clinical/medication questions by staff during the day.
