Vicki's Little Rascals! We seek individuals with professional driving experience to join our doggy daycare team! Are you an experienced driver with a love for dogs? This role combines professional driving skills, dog handling, customer service, and technology use. If you have experience in roles that require safe driving and excellent communication skills, we want to hear from you. This position requires a passion for working with animals and a concierge level of customer service. We are a 5-star doggy daycare beloved for our strict safety procedures, safe transport, customer service, and professionalism.
About Us Rascal Ranch is a custom-built, secure five-acre playground designed to meet the specific needs and personalities of our Rascals. As a Rascal Wrangler, you'll become an integral part of our team, forming lasting connections with the dogs, their owners, and your fellow team members.
Schedule - Operating hours: 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- Shifts: 6.5 to 8 hours in length
- No evenings, weekends, or holidays
Consistent availability required:
- Tuesday / Wednesday / Thursday.
- 18-23 hours per week
- Additional days may be available based on client demand and staffing levels.
- Optional additional work for candidates with fence building, repair, and handiwork experience (up to 5 hours per month)
- Optional house-sitting services available for supplemental income
Location - Ranch: Pacifica
- Company vehicles: Belmont and San Carlos
- Client Service areas: Belmont, Burlingame, El Granada, Foster City, Half Moon Bay, Hillsborough, Millbrae, Montara, Redwood City, San Carlos, and San Mateo
Compensation & Perks $23.50 - $24.50 / hour (start at $23.50, move to $24.50 after successful 90-day probation)
$1700 - $2400 / month (depending on business needs and availability/performance)

Responsibilities - Safely transport dogs to and from their homes to Rascal Ranch
- Ensure dogs feel comfortable and secure during transportation
- Oversee off-leash play, promoting safe behavior and teaching doggy manners
- Observe and understand dog play and communication, adjusting groups for a comfortable environment
- Capture daily pictures of the dogs for their parents
- Provide a five-star customer service experience for our clients
- Support teammates at the ranch and provide coverage when needed
- Maintain punctuality and excellent attendance
Ideal Candidate - At least five years of driving experience
- At least one-year driving vans or larger vehicles for work (minivans or small cargo vans)
- Prior professional driving experience with companies like UPS, FedEx, Amazon, and USPS is highly valued.
- Professional driver training is a huge asset.
- Comfortable around animals of all shapes and sizes, with a willingness to learn about dog handling and safety
- Technologically savvy, with the ability to use Slack, client portals, and navigation software
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail, ensuring smooth operations and clear reporting
- Positive mindset with a team-player attitude, contributing to a collaborative environment
- Exceptional attendance, reliability, and a strong work ethic
- Comfortable and confident interacting with clients during pick-up and drop-off
- Patience and a great attitude, able to handle excited dogs and occasional barking
