Practice Manager
SUMMARYSaugus Animal Hospital is a well-established, full-service, AAHA accredited & Fear Free Certified small animal veterinary hospital providing comprehensive medical, surgical, and dental care. The Practice Manager is the financial and operational leader of the Hospital. He/She works together with the hospital leadership as well as CVP to ensure efficient day to day operations and successful financial performance. The Practice Manager leads by example to motivate and inspire the team to provide an excellent experience for our clients and their pets.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Human ResourcesMarketing
In addition, the Practice Manager may work scheduled shifts during which he or she will be responsible for providing client service and/or direct patient care.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESThe Practice Manager is responsible for managing all hospital team members.
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCEHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to two years of veterinary or human healthcare experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONSCertification in Veterinary Practice Management preferred.
COMPETENCIESTo perform this job successfully, an individual should have working knowledge of the Adaptive and the Netsuite accounting systems; MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint. Experience with Veterinary software a plus.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTSThe Practice Manager is required to participate in operational meetings hosted by CVP. Potential to attend off site conferences, seminar and workshops.

WORKING ENVIRONMENTThis job operates in a professional animal hospital/clinic. This role may have exposure to electromagnetic radiation, anesthetic gases, unpleasant odors, noises and animal feces. May be exposed to bites, scratches and contagious diseases. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
