Summary

The Department of History and Political Science at Barry University invites applications for a full-time, Instructor of Political Science position, beginning in August 2024. The Department offers bachelor's degrees in Political Science, International Studies, History, and Pre-law and is housed in the College of Arts & Sciences.

The full-time Instructor of Political Science will teach 15 credits per semester of courses in American Government and American political institutions and contribute to department activities and functions

Essential Functions

The Instructor is expected to teach courses on American government, politics, and political institutions; participate in department and college meetings and events; collaborate with department faculty on curriculum review and revisions, and mentor students.

Qualifications/Requirements

• An MA/MS in Political Science is required. A PhD in Political Science is preferred.
• A minimum of three years of college-level teaching experience.
• The applicant should submit a cover letter, application, and a current curriculum vita. Applications should be submitted to Dr. Sean Foreman, Chair, Department of History and Political Science by June 10, 2024.
