Schedule: Full Time, 40 hours per week.

\n \n\n \n

Shift : Days, Mon-Fri with some weekends.

\n \n\n \n

Location: This position will primarily do visits in our "Team Pink" area which primarily covers the following areas and surrounding areas in the East Orlando, South Sanford, Winter Springs, Oviedo, East Longwood, Waterford Lakes, Christmas area which focuses on but is not limited to the following zip codes: 32773, 32732, 32750, 32708, 32765, 32766, 32826, 32820, 32709, 32828, 32833, 32831, 32832

The role you’ll contribute:

\n \n\n \n

Carries out various physical therapy procedures under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. State licensure required.

\n \n\n \n

The value you’ll bring to the team:

· Provides treatment to relieve pain and to develop or restore function as ordered on Plan of Care.

\n \n\n \n

· Provides accurate documentation.

\n \n\n \n

· Teaches use of assistive devices and equipment to patients and caregivers.

\n \n\n \n

· Observes, records and reports to physician any untoward reactions to treatment.

\n \n\n \n

· Instructs and supervises family members to provide continuous therapy and home treatment plan.

\n \n\n \n

· Maintains open communication with case manager.

\n \n\n \n

· Submits daily log and charge sheets to Home Health office.

\n \n\n \n

· Maintains communication with scheduler regarding caseload limitations.

\n \n\n \n

· Participates in case conferences.

\n \n\n \n

· Maintains open communication with primary Therapist.

\n \n\n \n

· Possesses excellent time management skills.

\n \n\n \n

· Meets agency's expectations regarding productivity.

\n \n\n \n

· Provides in-service training to staff as requested.

\n \n\n \n

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

\n \n\n \n

Minimum qualifications :

\n \n\n \n\n

\n
• Graduated from a physical therapist assistant curriculum approved by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education of the American Physical Therapy Association; or if educated outside the United States or trained in the United States military, graduated from an education program determined to be substantially equivalent to physical therapist assistant entry level education in the United States by a credentials evaluation organization approved by the American Physical Therapy Association or identified at 8 CFR 212.15 (e).
\n \n
• Passed a national examination for physical therapist assistants.
\n \n
• Valid Florida Driver's License, safe driving record and reliable transportation.
\n \n
• Currently licensed and registered as a PTA in the state of Florida.
\n \n
• Basic Life Support Certified - Adult & Infant/Peds.
\n \n\n \n\n
