Job Title: ​Cyber Infrastructure Systems Engineer Job Code: 21055 Job Location: Palm Bay, FL Job Schedule: 9/80 Job Description: Responsible for the internal or customer administration, maintenance and management of capacity resources for computers at the operating system and infrastructure level. Builds, configures, troubleshoots and integrates new and existing servers to provide service enhancements, application deployments and infrastructure upgrades. Sets up administrator and service accounts, maintains system documentation, tunes system performance, installs system-wide software, and allocates mass storage space. Recommends software and hardware enhancements, diagnoses and corrects issues, defines and implements new services with the goal of achieving maximum server uptime and availability for the customers. Responsible for monitoring performance, system usage. Contributes towards the Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP), backup systems and disk configurations. Conducts system analysis and development to keep systems current with changing technologies. Essential Functions: Expected to contribute to Product or Information System Engineering activities pertaining to CDRLs, trade studies, security requirements analysis, secure architecture development, management & compliance with security controls, design review milestones (SRR, SDR, PDR, CDR) and security test/verification activities. Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detailed trade studies, requirements derivation and allocation, and interface definition studies to translate customer Information Security requirements into hardware and software specifications. Configure, monitor, maintain, troubleshoot Redhat/Oracle Linux systems (physical and virtual) Experience deploying infrastructure through automation Familiarity with implementing and maintaining security controls in compliance with DoD security frameworks Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), agile system development, and DevSecOps tools and processes Experience in Linux automation using Kickstart, Podman, Ansible and Puppet Experience integrating Linux and Windows systems together in a unified Active Directory Domain Experience in creating and using containers in a LINUX and Windows Environment Experience customizing/optimizing/trouble shooting enterprise level applications Security administration experience in support of RMF requirements Knowledge RMF and cybersecurity requirements Ability to integrate RMF principles into ground-up builds Experience with continuous integration, build management, and/or automated test frameworks Experience with testing applications such as Jenkins, Jira, and Bitbucket Experience in using and creating LDAP for Windows and LINUX IDM This is an On-Site Position Qualifications: Education:Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience, or Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience. Top Secret/SCI clearance w/ CI Poly required. DOD 8140 IAT 2 certification. Preferred Additional Skills: Familiarity with Model Based System Engineering (UML, SysML, DoDAF). Current Linux Certifications such as: RedHat Certification (RHCSA or RHCE) CompTIA Linux+ LPIC (any level) SANS GCUX Foundational knowledge of Information System architecture and diagramming within Visio (or equivalent). General knowledge of common threats to information systems and how compromise would damage system integrity. Scripting experience (Bash/Shell, Python, Perl, PowerShell)
