Job Description

Primary Location:3452 Spur 399, McKinney, Texas, 75069We are searching for candidates that meet the required qualifications and experience and are able to perform the essential duties and responsibilities. Job Summary: Receive information provided from a client or supervisor and create a document or other communication vehicle that is appealing to the eye. Communicate the message clearly, reflect the client vision and represent the college in a positive manner. Required Qualifications:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design and execute the designs for the Publications Office of the District under the supervision of and as approved by the Art Director.
  • Produce college publications from design concept to the finished product, including graphics, editing, and developing print specifications.
  • Assist in developing, designing, implementing and updating the graphics standards for the District.
  • Archive and back-up work, including burning CD's, using departmental procedures.
  • Keep up-to-date on changes in graphic design, policies and procedures to maintain current working knowledge.
  • Maintain confidentiality of organizational plans and personnel actions.
  • Attend meetings with clients to gather information on incoming projects, as needed.

Physical Demands, Working Conditions and Physical Effort
Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, a negligible amount of force frequently, and/or constantly having to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met. Positions in this class typically require talking, hearing, seeing, grasping, standing, walking and repetitive motions. Relatively free from unpleasant environmental conditions or hazards. Office environment. Little physical effort required.


Requirements
Associate degree from an accredited institution and At least four (4) years of experience.
At least five (5) years of experience, preferred.


Equivalency Language
In addition to minimum experience required: At least 60 semester hours OR at least two (2) additional years of directly related experience.

In addition to minimum education required: A higher level degree than what is required for the job may be substituted for no more than one (1) year of the required work experience.
