Job Description

Overview:

As a Financial Analyst at CHORD, you will be a key driver of our financial success, directly contributing to our growth through impactful financial planning, budgeting, and reporting. Your work will provide valuable strategic insights that will help shape critical business decisions across the organization. Compensation: $70-90k/yr

Schedule: Monday-Friday from 9AM-5PM

Location: Remote

Responsibilities:
  • Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A): Assist the Manager of FP&A in the development of the annual budget, forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including variance analyses and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Data Analysis: Analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide insights to improve business performance across multiple locations. Revenue & Expense Monitoring: Track and monitor revenue, expenses, and profitability by location, provider, and service type.
  • Business Performance Analysis: Evaluate the performance of individual practices and identify opportunities for improvement or growth.
  • Ad-hoc Analysis: Perform ad-hoc financial modeling and analysis to support strategic initiatives, acquisitions, and other business opportunities.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with operational and clinical teams to understand the financial impact of business decisions and initiatives.
  • System Implementation: Assist in the implementation and optimization of financial systems and reporting tools as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. MBA or CFA designation is a plus.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in a multi-site healthcare or DSO environment. Familiarity with Power BI a plus.
  • Skills:
    • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling and data analysis.
    • Experience with Practice Management systems a plus (Dentrix, Dolphin, Cloud9).
    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
    • Ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
    • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
    • Critical thinking and ability to creatively solve problems.
  • Knowledge: Understanding of healthcare revenue cycle, insurance reimbursements, and dental industry trends is highly desirable.
  • Preferred Qualities:
    • Strong business acumen and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
    • Familiarity with dental practice management software and healthcare financial metrics is a plus.
