EXPECTED RESULTS AND ACHIEVEMENTS

• Scheduling and organizing the delivery of ready-mix concrete to customer jobs sites located around DFW.
• Working in a team to dispatch up to 134 ready mix trucks from 8 concrete plant locations.
• Work with customers, salespeople, and operations to optimize delivery and plant utilization.
• Ensure that value-added products and appropriate services are offered on all orders.
• Work closely with outside sales and quality assurance to address customer concerns and questions.
• Communicate closely with team members to assure timeliness of orders.
• Maximize resources by scheduling internal and external truck assets efficiently.
• Manage driver work schedules including end of day activities.
• Monitor truck routes to ensure most efficient delivery route is utilized.
• Assist in promoting positive customer relations by documenting complaints and forwarding them to the proper department or person responsible.
• Complete required paperwork and reports
• Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• The position requires a basic understanding of the Command Dispatch Software System or the ability to learn.
• Strong mathematical, computer and telephone skills
• Excellent customer service and communication skills (both verbal and written)
• Basic computer skills are required (Excel, Word, Outlook) combined with experience navigating the Web and the technical ability to learn custom software applications.
• Strong organizational skills
• Proven team player with a positive attitude.
• Ability to multi-task efficiently in a deadline oriented working environment
• Must be willing to work flexible hours.
• Must be fluent in English.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
• At least one year's dispatching experience in the concrete industry and/or ready-mix industry would be a plus.

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly sits for extended periods of time, stands, walks, types, and occasionally lifts up to 15 lbs.
