Position Overview:
As the Part-Time Accountant , you will play a critical role in overseeing and maintaining the company's financial health. You will handle essential tasks such as monthly and year-end financial reporting, tax filings, account reconciliations, and supporting payroll processes. The position offers flexibility, with the expectation of working 20-30 hours per week, including up to 50% remote work. This role is ideal for someone with a solid accounting background, a strong understanding of tax matters, and the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and assist in compiling monthly and year-end financial statements
• Process accounts payable and receivable, and manage general ledger entries
• Reconcile bank accounts and other financial accounts
• Prepare tax returns and provide guidance on tax-related issues
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and organized financial records

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting
• Skills: Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently
• Traits: Professional demeanor with the ability to present confidently to executive teams

Compensation:

• Salary range: $65,000 - $75,000 (based on 30 hours per week)
• Hourly rate: Up to $50 per hour
