BC forward is currently seeking a highly motivated for Content Editor opportunity in Redmond, WA
Position Title: Content Editor
Location: Fully Remote
Anticipated Start Date: - ASAP

Expected Duration: 12 Months Contract
Job Type: Contract and Remote
Pay Range: $45/hr. - $47/hr.
Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.).
Requirements:
* Purpose of the Team: The purpose of this team is program and skills engine. Publish Azure updates on Azure. The contractor will be supporting a team member getting those updates processed. There is an existing process today. Submit the updates and publish weekly.
* Key projects: This role will contribute to maintaining the inbox where these submissions come through, do a light copy edit, maintain the Azure update site. After fiscal, the contractor will transition over to the development team as the team is onboarding into a content tool called adobe experience manger where instead of publishing weekly, it will be more frequently.
* Typical task breakdown and operating rhythm: The role will consist of 10-20% meetings, meeting with the new experience team about 2-3 hours a week and review meeting, with the development FTE to ensure what the team are handing off looks good. Ther rest of the time heads down, responding to the alias, if there is an issue to file a bug to rout to the team who can fix, and edit or changes to existing content,

Candidate Requirements
* Years of Experience Required: 3-5 overall years of experience in the field. Would be nice if worked at Microsoft before.
* Degrees or certifications required: It would be nice if the candidates have a basic business degree, English marketing, or Communications degree. Looking for candidates who has strong communication skills.
* Disqualifiers: Candidates with industry mismatches will not be eligible for the role. Must have worked in tech before, and is familiar with Cloud tech, Product tech, and had worked for an employer for a year or more.
* Best vs. Average: The ideal resume would contain in worked in release management, web publication, customer success, or product marketing.
* Performance Indicators: Performance will be assessed based on quality of work, quality hand off, not missing edits, quality control, is responsive and provides guidance.

* Hard Skills Assessment Process: The assessment process will include HSA with the Microsoft sponsor and she may have content for the candidates to edit as a test.

The main function of this position will be to track, publish, and update product roadmap content for the Azure Updates website.
