Boiler Operator-All Shifts Kentucky Cooperage

Kentucky Cooperage seeks to fill our facility's introductory and experienced Boiler Operator positions. Boiler Operators will maintain steam boilers, hot water generators, and associated equipment, including compressors, cooling towers, pumps, and fans. Boiler Operators will also perform all other work related to their trade as directed by the supervisor. The ideal candidate will demonstrate critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Compensation: Starting at $20 to $26 depending on skills and experience

The Boiler Operators duties will include but will not be limited to the following:

Position Responsibilities

• A Boiler operates and adjusts high-pressure gas-fired boilers in the steam generating plant.
• Maintains maximum boiler efficiency by adjusting, reading, and interpreting gauges, indicators, and steam flow meters.
• Operates the steam boilers as the situation warrants on natural gas.
• Observe boiler plant operations using electronic or pneumatic controls, pressure gauges, and safety devices.
• May supervise or perform the chemical testing and treatment of boiler feed water.
• Will be responsible for maintaining various records and reports on steam plant or boiler operations.
• Makes regular checks of steam plant equipment, adjusts, repairs, and services equipment as required.
• Performs related work as required.
• Operates valves controlling operation of feed pumps and boiler blow-downs
• Performs all work in a safe manner

Qualifications And Requirements:

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment a plus

Scheduled Weekly Hours/Shift:

** If your schedule falls on a holiday, you are required to work your schedule due to boiler operation requirements.
