The Opportunity:

 

The AVP of Infrastructure Platforms and Systems leads a geographically dispersed team as they support the overall strategy for Fisher Investments' infrastructure environments. They guide their teams directly and through influence to ensure that projects and programs are implemented successfully.

 

You will develop and support collaborations with team leads, architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure successful deployment and delivery. You will also contribute to the development and implementation of governance, metrics, standard operating procedures, and controls for new solutions.

 

The Day-to-Day:

  • Support the mission for the Infrastructure Platforms (on-premise and cloud) and System Operations functions according to the overall technology strategy
  • Balances conflicting resource demands and internal pressures with a focus on our priorities
  • Demonstrate continual focus on efficiency, effectiveness, and quality to ensure successful implementations that meet the priorities of the business and maximize value
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of governance and standards for new implementations and releases
  • Ensure efficient collection and distribution of status and issue resolution information and ensure it is communicated to appropriate customers and partners
  • Be a mentor to other leaders and enjoy growing and maturing a team, including career and succession planning
  • Lead by example in the representation of the Infrastructure and Operations organization to work toward excellence in delivery and customer service

Your Qualifications:

  • 10+ years IT leadership experience.
  • Experience in infrastructure and systems management
  • Strong technical skills are required to oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex infrastructure and systems. This includes, but is not limited to, experience with server administration, cloud computing, virtualization, infrastructure as code, and other related technologies
  • Strong collaborative approach to delivering services across technology teams and stakeholders
  • Experience managing service delivery, improvement, and project optimization efforts
  • Experience and demonstrated capability in leading IT transformational programs working with multiple departments in globally distributed environments
  • Experience with strategic planning, organizational design, and development
  • Demonstrated track record with evolving traditional IT programs and capabilities
  • Strong relationship management and ability to influence change

Compensation:

  • $110,000-$180,000 base salary per year in the state of WA - New hires should expect to start at the lower end of the range depending on experience
  • Eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance
