The City of Falls Church is seeking a qualified individual to provide leadership to the City of Falls Church Concert Band through August 2026.
The City of Falls Church Concert Band provides a medium for concert band musicians of all skill levels to pursue their musical interests and enhance their artistic growth. The band gives back to the community by providing high-quality musical performances of various types and styles of musical selections that interest and entertain both performers and audiences. An entertaining mixture of marches, classical pieces, Broadway show medleys, regional tunes and American classics are performed at concerts held at outdoor parks and indoor retirement centers in the local community. The band also regularly performs at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport to welcome veterans arriving via the Honor Flight program to our nation’s capital.
Rehearsals are usually held on Wednesday nights 7:45pm-9:45pm at Meridian High School. The band calendar includes the most up-to-date information.
The City of Falls Church Recreation and Parks Department sponsors the band, providing rehearsal space at Meridian High School, and hires and provides the funding for the band director.

Hours: Part-time. Schedule includes weekly practices, with typically one to two performances a month.
Salary & Benefits: Salary is $25/hour. There are no benefits.
