An Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for the financial processing of transactions for an organization. Their duties include daily bookkeeping and record keeping, financial reporting and the preparation of tax records for financial audits.

Duties and responsibilities: 

• Managing accounts payable using QuickBooks software and other programs
• Handling accounts payable for various vendors. 
• Establishing and maintaining relationships with new and existing vendors
• Ensuring bills and payroll are paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to departmental procedures.
• Processing of invoices when due.
• Comparing purchase orders, prices, terms of payment and other charges
• Processing transactions and performing accounting duties such as account maintenance, recording entries and reconciling books of accounts

Requirements:

• Associate's degree in Accounting desired, but not required
• 3+ years of recent Accounts Receivable experience
• Proficient in Windows-based software, Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Word, and advanced Excel (Including V-Lookup). QuickBooks experience is also a must. 
• Extensive experience in account reconciliation.
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Organization and time management skills
• Ability to work in a deadline-oriented environment
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
• Experience working for a engineering or manufacturing facility is a plus.
